Served as a Senior Professional in the Agriculture and Farmer's Empowerment Department, Government of Odisha, and for about three decades as Special Officer of the Chakotia Bhunjia Development Agency in Nuapada.

Postgraduate degrees in agriculture extension, with expertise in millets, organic farming, and natural farming.

Runs a poultry farm and commercial strawberry cultivation.
