Covid-19 Response Program with Milaap

It is more than two months since India went into lockdown, one of the most stringent government responses in its fight against Covid-19. But it took a toll on the migrant workers who migrated to other states in search of jobs and the street vendors who don’t have an employer to depend on for wages so as to help them sustain during the pandemic. All the economic activities stopped and they are the people who are bearing the brunt of the crisis.

The full-fledged revival of economic activities still appears distant. To avoid tryst with the uncertainty of the times, they are looking for relief.

During this trying times, Mahashakti Foundation with the esteem support of Milaap is providing Family Essential Kits to Vulnerable Street Vendors and Migrant Workers.

Today being the 46th Day of Mahashakti Covid-19 Response Program, we have covered 52,550 households. 50 Street Vendors and Migrant Workers of Balangir were provided with the kit today in the presence of Mr. Ashananda from Habitat for Humanity, India and CEO- Mahashakti Foundation: Mr. Jugal Kishore Pattnayak
