Enterprise Promotion
Mahashakti provides comprehensive support services to aspiring entrepreneurs, including training, mentorship, access to finance, and market linkages. Through entrepreneurship development programs and workshops, Mahashakti equips individuals with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to start and scale their own enterprises.
In collaboration with Vedanta Alumina, we are upscaling the SHG movement through “Project Sakhi.” Under this project, more than 800 SHG members have been linked to various credit linkage programs for different enterprises. Mahashakti, with the support of Trickle Up, is implementing the UPMA project with 500 ultra-poor households in the Bongomunda block of Bolangir district, enabling them to earn additional income through different micro group enterprises and market access interventions. We take community-based institutions like SHGs, JLGs, Producer Groups (PGs), FPOs, SHG Federations, and Cooperatives as our implementation channels, providing hand-holding support services for institutional development.
Moreover, we actively promote inclusive entrepreneurship, with a focus on supporting women and youth, ensuring that all members of society have equal opportunities to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. By nurturing a culture of innovation, resilience, and collaboration, the organization plays a vital role in driving economic growth, job creation, and poverty alleviation in communities. Through its initiatives, Mahashakti empowers individuals to realize their full potential as agents of change and contributors to sustainable development.
